ut obviously I agree with what you say, in fact as I said, it's a shame that the different systems don't find the same fonts but adapt in some way.
For example, Linux uses the character "NOTO" a lot, which makes it look like dozens of similar characters found in macOS or MS, and also translated into many different languages.
What I was asking was if anyone can give me information on the possibility of being able to "enlarge" the size of the font (be it MS, or anonymous Sans or something else in one go (e.g. a script) because it is unimaginable to go and make the change on each element, and then onto the projects...
As I did, with a simple text editor I succeeded but I don't know if I cause damage on other lines of the program, perhaps creating a bug... understand?
With the editor I can search in all the strings of the element (or the project), the combination "Sans Sherif,5"... or "MS Shell Dlg 2 ,5" and tell it to replace it with the string: Sans Sherif, 7 or "NOTO,7", or whatever. The important thing is to increase it from 5 to 7 or others bring them from 7 to 9!
The doubt remains whether by doing so I am NOT modifying a string which could then create a bug...
Here's where my question lies, "be able to enlarge a character" some font sizes without altering the element sizes (while still keeping the same dimensions as the original title block (columns/rows/pixes) and sheet (A4).
Then obviously how to update the elements already inserted in the sheet.

Congratulations to the developer! The latest releases is very good!
Both when working with macOS (Catalina) and Linux (Debian 11) it no longer systematically crashes (very, very rarely)...
It's a shame that the same fonts are not found between the 2 OS and sometimes they have differences in size!
Some colleagues complain that the size of the labels in the symbols (Sans Sherif 7) and/or the contact numbers (Sans Sherif 5) are too small and they struggle to read on A4 paper, and ask me to increase the size of the characters.
Since there are over 20,000 elements in the library (5-600 of the most used obviously...) and modifying them all is quite a problem, how is it possible to change the font size all at the same time without causing damage?
....and then be able to upgrade the projects already done a year ago...?
I tried to modify them in the elements with a text editor that searches inside each element in the library: ..../QElectro/QE/elements/10_electric/10_allpole/
the type string (sans Sherif,5) and replaces it e.g. with (Arial, 7)
1)es:
Search: Microsoft Sans Serif,9
replace with: Arial,12
2) es..:
searh: Sans Sherif,5
replace with: Arial,7

It worked and this way it changes them all quickly...
But I'm afraid of doing some damage on other lines...

As you can see it's already set to multiline (on all sheets), only in some it allows me to uncheck it and on others it doesn't (it's blurry and I don't understand why it's blurry on the sheet link too).
I do this too, especially with binding posts and connectors.
I remove the numbering from the wire and add texts which I then align to the connecting wire, so it also remains stable when you copy/paste.

In this case instead I use to assign a label to the wire only because in assigning the link between a master/slave element or the previous/next sheet the link is visible and easy to identify, otherwise I get random numbers and I have to look for which one is the one Right...

Why don't some conductors tick "text not visible"? That is, make the conductor reference invisible?
Each time I zoom them in to make the page as big as possible, but then it shrinks again.
Especially if the "Properties" view is activated.
Is there a way to lock the window size?

The problem is in the %F flag not setting the sheet label, which could also be non-numeric as it could be in a supplementary sheet "appendix" explaining "a detail" of the previous sheet such as a cad drawing or PDF attachment. ..

%F should take the label set in setup and not the position..

I realized that in some diagrams developed some time ago I had wrong references (sheet) but only some (selector) and contacts 1 exchange...
As shown in the screenshots...slave contact takes the sheet number (9-G96) which is actually 8.
The master does the same by placing 6-A7 which is instead sheet 5...
Why?
The oddity is that everything else is correct! coil-contact, previous sheet-next sheet...

Yes, Adobe can set the layout for each printed page (at least in the PRO version) and store it in the saved PDF file.
Other CADs, with the "adapt" menu to the print direction (vertical or horizontal), rotate it by 90° adapting it from A4(horizontal) to A4(vert).
In practice, it would be enough to "teach him" that he must print each page by printing the page in the correct direction of the tray.
The function in the menu works, but it doesn't apply to the "single" sheet but to all the sheets, obviously creating the error in the others...

1) If the file is "read only" it still allows you to work and only blocks saving, as happens in the element editor.
2) Adding i/I key as "zoom IN" command, o/O key as "zoom OUT" and c/C key as "zoom center", I think it's also easy to implement.
It helps a lot when you have the mouse busy holding an object or when you need to draw a line and you're off the screen...

See Lorenzo, I work with both schematic design and PCB design.
The backup is NEVER performed on the same original file!
Backup is a VERY important feature if you use these cads.
Because you can hope to recover the work done in minutes (5-10min.) if a software, hardware or energy crash should happen...
You can NOT create an alias file every 5-10min., especially when routing a schematic or laying out traces in a PCB because this would lead to chaos in the archive.
After major changes, I already create copies!
Faster way, I take the file manager and ask for the duplicate so it creates me: Copy (1) filename.xxx, next will be Copy (2) filename.xxx etc...
But this is done when you are at a precise point and you save the work done up to there.
This has nothing to do with the concept of backup.
PCB CAD also does backups recursively. For example, if I schedule 3 backups 5 minutes apart, he runs backups .bk1, .bk2, .bk3 regularly every 5 minutes, after these, .bk3=.bk2, .bk2=.bk1, and .bk3 is the new backup.
I activated the backup out of necessity and with tight deadlines so as not to lose changes in the event of a crash and as there are, unfortunately, I lost important points several times in the project phase.
I have noticed that it doesn't always restore to the point before the crash but sometimes many steps before.
I repeat, what you suggest is correct and I do it systematically when I intend to save the project in key points, but that is something totally different from the important function of the backup.

The periodic backup must be performed by creating a file (bak) of the type: filename.bak or even better: filename.bak1, filename.bak2...
With current software there is the error that if you are working and take a break, or realize the change is incorrect, exiting the project is a big mistake because the original project has been overwritten by the backup! losing it!
The only option is to do several "undo" to go back to the original or intermediate point before exiting, and this is not always possible!
Second:
By protecting the file in "read only", any operation on the file is blocked, even the "copy lock" useful for copying to other projects...
Instead it should be possible to work and ONLY at the time of saving there is the overwrite block.
A bit like it happens in the elements!

Addition of contacts with ref. crossed out and then associating them with the contactor, the program connects them and displays them correctly in the cross at the bottom.
But by numbering them I could be wrong to create two in two different points on the project, is there the possibility of verifying that there are not two contacts (for example 13/14) used at the same time?
