Thanks for the explanation, plc-user.
Correct: If I edit the element in user-collection, QET is asking to replace all occurrences.
Problem still: Adding dynamic text to an element (e.g. annotation, function etc.), then dynamic text will never show up in existing components.
I tried with a transformer and a coil. Close QET, reopen won't help. If I want to have the additional dynamic text fields, I need to delete old transformer, insert amended transformer, rewire.
I enlarged the csv report with all possible fields (i.e. get all available coloumns).
SQL looks like this then:
SELECT label, comment, function, description, auxiliary1, auxiliary2, plant, location, unity, quantity, manufacturer, designation, manufacturer_reference, machine_manufacturer_reference, supplier, folio, diagram_position, position, title FROM element_nomenclature_view WHERE ( element_type = 'terminal' OR element_type = 'thumbnail' OR element_type = 'simple' OR element_sub_type = 'commutator' OR element_sub_type = 'coil' OR element_sub_type = 'protection') AND Label != '' ORDER BY label, manufacturer, designation

This is asked frequently...
Pull the new/reworked element on any folio of your project.
QET asks, if you want to keep both versions or replace any occurence by the new one.
(you don't have to place the new element!)
Close the project and re-open: voilá!
Connections will be kept, if the terminals are at the same positions as before!
What can I do, if QET does not ask me about replacing any occurence?
It seems that my "Collections" is messed up, but how can I get it straight?
Edit 2024-10-07: The red marked elements within "Imported elements" disappeared with Project->Clean Project.
Example:
Under
a) Collections->Project->Imported Elements -> Electric -> All Pole -> Transformers and supplies -> Transformers
there is red element with name "Three-phase transformer Yd"
b) Collections->Project->Imported Elements -> Electric
there is white element with name "Three-phase transformer Yd"
What I am doing:
0) I have such a transformer in my schematic.
1) Double click on the transformer in schematic -> General -> Edit element
2) Add some dynamic text fields (element information such as "Function", "Annotation" etc.)
2b) Edit -> Edit name and information about the element: I add "ver.2" to the english name.
3) Collections right click on white Transformer -> "Reload element" lets appear the "ver.2" in the name.
4) Dragging the "ver.2" into schematic lets not appear a question about replacing existing occurrence!
5) Dragging the "ver.2" from
Collection...Electric
to folder
Collection.. Electric -> All Pole -> Transformers and supplies -> Transformers
gives me another "red" element. This time with the "ver.2" in the name.
Thank you for the video. Now, I have the problem, to create a "mounting-plate-element", e.g. for a contactor with coil, 3 power contacts, 1NC, 1NO.
The schematic exists already.
I would like to link the "mounting-plate-element" (a rectangle with the correct dimensions) with coil and contacts. The coil is already the master of the contacts.
In the QET-Collection -> Electric -> Graphics -> Thumbnails for assembly plan -> Thumbnails for mounting plate I tried many elements but have found no "master" section under "edit element".
Is there any example element or example project?
https://download.qelectrotech.org/qet/m … plate.html
Danke
Stefan
