Topic: update/replace element

case:
I am using an element from the custom library
then I notice I need to update the element
how to replace now the element that is already in the schematic with the version from the library which I just have updated??
I can of course delete the element and put the new one, but then all wires are lost

Always using the latest development version

Re: update/replace element

Just drag and drop element updated and chose options.
Make a backup before.

Re: update/replace element

the problem is that the existing element is still there and if you delete this all wires are also deleted

Always using the latest development version

Re: update/replace element

When you édit élément don‘t move or delete or add News terminales.
Also il‘s break compatibility and remove conductors linked to old element replaced.

Re: update/replace element

Maybe I'm idiot, but both options - "make both elements coexist and "overwrite existing element" - have same result. New element is new and old elements stays same, not updated.

Re: update/replace element

Ok, I found out that element is indeed replaced, but I have to reopen project to see changes. So far I have found no way how to update it in application. Anyway it works great, reloading is minor inconvenience.
