Do not place elements in any Git* repository.
Even KiCAD abandoned Git* plugin as a place for pulling elements from.

KiCAD and QElectroTech are two different beasts.
KiCAD is PCB oriented package which incorporates associated schematic software which is NEEDED to be able to produce decent PCB's.
QET is a totally different kind of software, mainly for electrical (not electronic) and automation diagrams.
Although it is possible to make an electrical diagram for entire house in KiCAD, it is not possible to produce PCB of that size 
Soo... integrating apples and oranges ... possible, but only squeezed as juice
