Don't use formula based on folio name or position "%F.%sequ_1" for "coming arrow " report conductors when you link different folio !

I have the same problem, and unfortunately this is a standard that I have to work to for some drawings, so isn't something I can ignore.  Why does it not take the linked number, even if the linked number is based on a formula that uses the page number instead of assigning a new one?  There are instances where conductors cross pages.

My formula is uses %f.  I can get round it by manually changing he conductor properties once it has been created but this isn't something I should have to do.

BTW, I'm not bashing QElectrotech, I have been using it exclusively for many years and it's great to see the project progress and improve, it would just be nice for it to work the same as other packages seem too with conductor numbering.

Thanks for the reply I obviously didn't look back hard enough to see if someone else had the same issue.

When launching the element editor it appears to change the user text size to 9, despite the original element having a text size of 4.

My version info:

QElectroTech V 0.80-DEV
Compilation: GCC 9.2.0 - built with Qt 5.14.0 - Date : Jan 12 2020 : 08:24:57 - run with Qt 5.14.0 using 8 thread(s)

Nuri,

Yes sorry I was talking about wire numbers, rather than cable identification.  I've discovered where they are in the XML project file.  I'll see if I get time to work out a complete extraction script.

Thanks

Jon

Is there a method to export or extract the cable numbers in the same way that we can with the parts list?

Finally coming back to this now I've got my 3D CAD package working, and fully switched to Antergos.

Successfully built the package this morning and installed.  All seems to be working but I will test over Xmas when I have a drawing or two to work on.

Thanks for your help, and I will look at it more, including your bash script and creating something for the AUR in the next few weeks.  Have a great Xmas and New Year nomicons/smile

Scorpio,

I looked at that but it hasn't been updated since 2015, and I can't find any reference to getting the source for v0.7.

If I go to the tags directory of the server the latest is 0.6 rc3.

Jon

Is it possible for me to be able to build QElectrotech dev version for Antergos(Arch)?

I am currently using Fedora, but may switch and there is no build available for anything Arch based.

Thanks,

Jon

Laurent,

You are indeed correct, I am running 1920 x 1080 not HiDPI.

I have Qt 5.6.1 running, and have upgraded to FC24 but it still displays incorrectly.

Laurent,

I am using Gnome 3.18.

I will upgrade to Fedora 24 in the next week or so.  I'm just in the middle of some important projects so need to do it at a non critical time.

I don't normally use QElectrotech on my laptop so it's no big issue for now.

Thanks for the reply,

Jon

Hi,

I have a HP Spectre and run a resolution of 1920 x 1080, however QElectrotech doesn't display according to the resolution.  Is it a QT error or possible to change via a conf file.

I have the latest version from the Fedora COPR, and am running Fedora 23.  I've attached a screenshot.

Thanks,

Jon

Laurent,

I have found it now, I was not looking correctly.  You can set the colour on the folio properties tab, then do all your lines using auto numbering, then change colour and auto numbering if you need to.  Simple really if I had taken the time to look.

Sorry for bothering you with a trivial thing, though I still think being able to define it in the auto numbering would be a good idea, but others would probably argue not.

Thanks for taking the time to help nomicons/smile

Jon

I am on the 0.51-dev version from the Fedora COPR.

The preservation is working, however if I have PLC inputs for instance that all wire to terminals they don't share equipotentiality with any other cable.  In this case I have to assign colour every time.  If the colour could be defined as part of the auto numbering then it would make life easier.  I have attached a screenshot to show what I mean.  This project was small, but sometimes they are bigger with a lot of field I/O.

Or am I missing something?

Jon

Hello,

QElectrotech is an excellent piece of software, thank you very much for the continual development.

I would like to make one suggestion, and that is regarding line colours.  Is it possible to set a line colour along with the autonumber scheme?

When doing a large drawing, having to manually change colours on every line that isn't linked with another is time consuming.

Keep up the great work.
