Topic: Display texts

Hello,
I have just updated to version V0.70-dev + svn5248. When I open a project that has been drawn with version 0.60, I can either display the text for label or the text for commentary. In the previous version of 0.70 I was able to display both texts. Have I overlooked something?

Best regards
Stebo

Re: Display texts

Hi Stebo,

since revision svn 5216 all elements text are converted to dynamic texts, but sometime you need to add them manually like this :

thanks for your answer, I will continue to work in the 0.70

Re: Display texts

Hello,
OK, I understood that. To make it easier I came up with the idea to make the example of your example and save it with a symbol in the drawing. Then I go to the next icon, delete the texts and paste the saved text again, but all font sizes are automatically changed to 9. Is it possible to keep the font sizes?

Best regards
Stebo

Re: Display texts

Hi Stebo,

this Joshua screencast is better and explain how to use new import/export dynamics text :

"Le jour où tu découvres le Libre, tu sais que tu ne pourras jamais plus revenir en arrière..."

Hello scorpio810,
OK now I understand the principle.

Re: Display texts

Hello,

I really like this new function of dynamic texts. When using rotation I face some problems. When I make a "Group of texts" and put into it some texts with rotation, the rotation is neutralized. Is there some way of keeping the rotation in a group text without rotating the whole group? I would like to have both vertical and horizontal texts in the same group.

Re: Display texts

Thank you for your quick reply.

I do have another question about the dynamic texts. It is about the alignment. When I place a label left from the symbol, I would like to see the text aligned Right. I can chose it in my group, but it doesn't seem to work (see pictures)

Re: Display texts

For me the text alignment works only when I have more texts in one group. Then they align in reference to each other.
But alignment doesn't work for a single two-line text. Even when I try to align it right, it stays aligned to the left.

Re: Display texts

The alignment work as says arutroszulc. texts are aligned inside a group.

Re: Display texts

I really like this alignment option and the dynamical texts, but it would be nice to have some more option. To be able to set an alignment in the fields in symbols (in the element editor), to use this option for single texts and to have the ability to chose the reference point of the text field.
A nice option might also be an option for line space.

Re: Display texts

The alignment is done in in the diagram editor.
Next step are the element editor.
you can see a little screencast here https://qelectrotech.org/forum/viewtopi … 8160#p8160

Re: Display texts

Thank you for this good new option. Wonderful. When using it I found a little bug when changing text size. See attachment.
