Yesterday, as part of a major retrofit of an old installation machinery, I was able to test PDF files exported from QET (Qt6 MSI installer) with page references, XREFs links on a very, very old PC running Windows 98 SE to April 5000/Orphée, equipped with Acrobat Reader 5.0. The software opened them without any problems and the page references and XREFs links worked perfectly – brilliant! This will make troubleshooting much easier, with the PLC programme in one window and the drawings in another. just need to change old vintage 14" crt monitor to an new lcd monitor..19"..
And I no longer need to carry my QET laptop around with me everywhere, even though the Ctrl + F shortcut is more convenient than the PDF search function for carrying out in-depth searches within a large QET's project.

FYI, Snap packages as moved to Qt6 KF6 frameworks and core24, no change for qet_tb_generator.

Donc oui vu qu'il n'y a pas de paquet Qt6 envoyé vers Noble et Jammy sur le PPA, que les anciens en 0.100.1...The stable/unstable Debian packages for QET have been migrated to Qt6 today; for the Ubuntu PPA, I’ve dropeed Jammy 22.04 (Qt 62.4) and Noble 24.02 (Qt 6.4.2)...keep Resolute 26.04 (Qt6.10.12)

Oui mais j'ai restoré le PPA basé sur Ubuntu 24.04, t'as juste a bricoler le pinning..

The Windows Qt5 build is going to be removed from CI/CD soon (Qt6/KF6
is becoming the sole supported track). Replace the 'experimental'
warning wording on the nightly download page and in the nightly
release body with a call to action inviting users to switch to Qt6
now and report issues, ahead of the Qt5 removal.

C'est exactement le cas de figure qu'on avait déjà écarté — on avait déterminé que libkf6widgetsaddons-dev et libkf6coreaddons-dev ne sont disponibles ni pour jammy ni pour noble (KF6 n'arrive qu'à partir de questing/resolute), et c'est justement pour ça que la décision avait été de retirer jammy et noble du PPA Qt6/KF6 pour ne garder que resolute.
Sinon, tu as les snaps..ou mon repo Flatpak..
Mon PPA pointe vers scorpio-qelectrotech-dev-jammy.list, ça doit être ça ?
FYI, macOS Apple Silicon arm64, signed and notarized it's now on Qt6 + KF6 frameworks ports.

I spent some time this week testing the KF6-on-Homebrew route for the macOS build and wanted to share what I found — not blocking or urgent, just a pointer for when you get to it.
### Starting point
I based my testing on Gilles Caulier's (digiKam maintainer) Qt6/KF6 Homebrew bundle scripts (`01-build-homebrew.sh` + `02-build-extralibs.sh`), as an alternative to the MacPorts framework — trying to see if it's a faster/simpler path for getting KF6 on macOS.
### `01-build-homebrew.sh` — takes hours
This script installs Qt6 and all of digiKam's other Homebrew dependencies. On my Mac Mini M2, it takes **hours** to complete — much heavier than `02-build-extralibs.sh` below. Worth keeping in mind for CI: even with caching, a from-scratch run of this step alone is a significant time cost.
### `02-build-extralibs.sh` — builds the KF6 components themselves
This one builds the actual KF6 modules on top of the Homebrew Qt6 from step 1. Out of the box, several modules failed to compile for me. None of them are needed by QET, so I commented them out:
- `karchive`, `ki18n`, `kconfigwidgets`, `kiconthemes`, `kservice`, `kxmlgui`, `kbookmarks`, `kimageformats`, `sonnet`, `ktextwidgets`, `libksane`, `kcalendarcore`, `breeze`, `opencv`
With those excluded, the remaining set built cleanly, no errors, in about 5 minutes on my Mac Mini M2:
- `extra-cmake-modules`, `kconfig`, `breeze-icons`, `kcoreaddons`, `kwindowsystem`, `solid`, `threadweaver`, `kdbusaddons`, `kcrash`, `kcodecs`, `kauth`, `kguiaddons`, `kwidgetsaddons`, `kitemviews`, `kcompletion`
That build time is a lot better than MacPorts (which takes ~24h), so this looks like a promising direction for CI — worth checking whether QET actually needs all of the modules above, or an even smaller subset.
### Note on the old KF5 Homebrew tap
For the record: the old QET wiki also references a KF5 Homebrew tap (`kde-mac/kde`, https://invent.kde.org/packaging/homebrew-kde.git). I checked it — it's still alive but **only has KF5 formulas** (`kf5-*`), nothing KF6. Not a usable path for a KF6 build; Gilles' scripts above remain the only concrete KF6-on-Homebrew route I found.
