Topic: Windows artifacts (missing borders and snaps places) on Ubuntu 24.04

Hi,

I'm using the latest version of QElectroTech of the branch development (0.100.0.r8169-2ubuntu4) and i'm experiencing a problem that affect the layout of the windows.

As seen in the attached picture, the windows doesn't have anymore the borders and is not anymore possible to snap it to different positions.

Am I missing something? maybe it's due to wayland or qt dependencies?

Thanks for the support,

Luca

Hi Luca,

I 'm thinking is maybe a wayland or Qt problem.

Hi Scorpion,

I've found a workaround following the first point of this guide:

https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/20 … ps-ubuntu/

in fact seems both related (wayland on the support of qt apps). Seems that this plugin force the use of x11 in the case of qt apps.

Thanks,

Luca
