Topic: Connections in display bar

Dear,
i am new to QElectroTech, i managed to make one project with the software and till now it looks promising.
What i miss is Connections in display bar, so i don't have to look for them in Collection all the time.
Is there a way to do this?

Re: Connections in display bar

hello

It would be very interesting if these connections were somehow configured and automatic, as the project would gain a great designer.

Re: Connections in display bar

FYI, these elements isn't used in electric diagram on France!

Re: Connections in display bar

I did not know that, but since they are inside and we use them it would be nice to have them more exposed like in display bar.
Probably they are used widely, because in all what i sow plans were made by that type of connections.
And i so and draw them a lot.

Re: Connections in display bar

Hello Saso!

It seems that you have not yet understood the principle of QET:
Connecting wires are only drawn from one terminal to another terminal! It is not intended to connect a new wire to a conductor somewhere: Only from terminal to terminal!
Connection points are set automatically by QET.
Therefore there is no need of connection-points etc. in the toolbars.

QET is not a paint program: You make connections between terminals.

Understand ? or not?
This is how we draw all plans.
Honesty i did not understand your answer.
Attached is just a sample of simple single pole plan.

Re: Connections in display bar

O.k. ... that makes it clear what you mean.

In future versions of QET, such splices will have to be built in to make clear, in which way the cabling has to be done. However, this must be an automatic feature in the software when you make your connections between the terminals.
With the “Splice” or “ThruSomething” elements, you insert non-existent parts into your circuit diagram, which appear as empty lines in the bill of materials.

These “elements” also make my life quite difficult:
For some time now (not full time!) I am trying to develop a software-tool that automatically extracts a cabling plan from the QET schematic file. However, these “elements” are not allowed to appear in a cabling plan because they are not real components!
Not only these parts make it quite difficult to create such a diagram automatically - also the many possibilities to use references in circuit diagrams is quite complex...
But that's another topic!

Re: Connections in display bar

I saw you used old version, on last 0.100-dev you have also an company collection to put your elements.
