hello again boys, finally I installed Pyflow with FreeCAD.

https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. … mp;t=36299

so, this is awesome, in the link you can see some videos, and I think QElectroTech could create some nodes for PyFlow or Dynamo BIM (someone creates nodes for FreeCAD) to interconnect and create a 3D workflow.

please devs, help us here.

good idea, create a FreeCAD Workbench...

... optionally actually FreeCAD already could create automatically panels like AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor without create a workbench, this thanks to PyFlow, the only requirement is add support for import-export IFC or XML or CSV extension, the format need contain ubication like A4 or B6 something simple like that.

... and you want to connect your work in any other app for PyFlow, definitively QET needs Python API, for example for connect QET with PyERP or LibreOffice or Blender or FreeCAD.

more info here:

Edit: ... and for this motive, I suggest to prioritize Python API over other features or fixes.

Hello, new here, I found QElectroTech and I love this project, I am migrating since AutoCAD Electrical and I want to stay here.

... as mentioned in another post my wish to create an integration BIM with QElectroTech, create a workflow, and help the community to automate their work.

https://community.osarch.org/

this is a new forum than support BIM open source software, you are welcome to add QET to the OSArch wiki and please keep the great work than you are doing.

my main suggestion is to support import-export to IFC, XML, and CSV files formats, with that QET might integrate other workflows without much work.

nice plugins.

PyFlow is a Data Flow Programming than supporting any Software with Python API, I could finish Python API integration and integrate all QET plugins to PyFlow.

IMHO the next step is an integration between QET and FreeCAD, similar to KiCAD and FreeCAD or AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor:

https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. … mp;t=49985

I could suggest contacting directly to the FreeCAD team and request help for the Python APIs

I'd like to help but I'm just learning python recently, and this will take a while.

If you write the code what you should have.

I could found help if you need it.

an option is FreeCAD, their developers might be interested in helping QET.

in Reddit a guy supports this request:

we need integration between QElectroTech and FreeCAD, similar to AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor.

... too Python API support for automatic processes.

At same time this feature should export our entire project.

In AutoCAD electrical is tool is named "I/O Uyility"
