How to install version higher than 0.5 on Mint 18.2?
I add PPA but it's empty for Mint.
Mint 18.2 is based on what version of Ubuntu ?
Edit : I think is based on Ubuntu Xenial.
PPA Version 0.6-RC3
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/scorpio/ppa/ubuntu xenial main
PPA version 0.7-dev
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/scorpio/qelectrotech-dev/ubuntu xenial main
Hi Scorpio,
I can't force to install v0.6. Official repository has version "qelectrotech (1:0.5-1) unstable;"
I try to force in Synaptic to install lower version but it's ignore my setting and always install from official repository v0.5.5.1
I'm new in Linux environment. Can you give me some advice how to force installation from your PPA?
You need to create pinning file like this
https://qelectrotech.org/wiki_new/doc/install_ubuntu
sudo nano /etc/apt/preferences.d/40qelectrotech-devel
Paste this :
Notice : this 's for 0.6 PPA, change version to 0.70 for 0.7-dev PPA.
Package: qelectrotech*
Pin: version 0.60.*
Pin-Priority: 1001
Ctrl + X for save
sudo apt-get update
or open your synaptic and refresh repo.
Thank you Scorpio! That's help.
One more question: where I can find project examples? They are installed but I can't find it on my HDD.
On : usr/share/qelectrotech/examples
Project examples provided are very small and old projects.
