Topic: conductor cross is does not move when layout changes

I've tried to search for this issue but I suspect I'm using the incorrect search terms as I'm new to QET. My question is, what am I doing wrong that my cross will not move with the conductor it's attached to when the layout changes? For example, if I move an element and the wire layout changes, the cross will be left behind.

Here is a very short video demonstrating the situation: (also attached in case YouTube goes out of business nomicons/wink )

Am I using it incorrectly?

Re: conductor cross is does not move when layout changes

Yes, that's the wrong way to do it.
The connection is not automatically broken and reconnected when you place the cross.
You first have to place the cross, then connect the cross to the opener, then connect the cross to the motor, etc.
Or delete the existing connection and then reconnect. The automatic connection feature is also very helpful here.

Thanks for the reply. I just realized the same after reading this post for the 5th time nomicons/wink
I was thinking the cross was the same as the "black dot" intersection that is drawn when you connect multiple terminals to a common terminal, but it is actually just another element and behaves as such.
