Topic: Conductor Classes

Hi,

I'm new to QElectroTech and may be doing something incorrect, I find it very slow to change each conductors appearance/colour manually in the conductors properties. In the project properties and under numbering and conductors you are basically creating a class for different conductor numbering, for example I have L1-1, L2-1, L3-1 etc if we could also have an option to set the conductors appearance to this numbering class so each time you add wires it does the numbers and sets the colour to the selected numbering class?

Or maybe there is already a way to do this or create conductor types? I just can't find or see any simple way?

Re: Conductor Classes

Hi,

Using the automum rules, it is not possible to choose a colour yet, but if you draw a wire in red, blue, etc., if the equipotential bonding is respected, the new conductor connetcted to this will be the same colour and will have the same label.

Re: Conductor Classes

where do you select the colour for a wire? I must be missing something as I have only seen conductor appearance properties once the wire has already been drawn?

Is there any plans to have an conductor/wire classes? I'm coming from Solidworks Electrical due to moving from Windows to Linux and SWE running like crap in a VM and now I can't transfer license to dual boot. In SWE we could define wire classes and set line types such as thickness, dashed, colours etc so every time you draw with that wire class selected it draws that line properties defined. Would could also group them for example Mains, Control, Comms etc and have different defined wire types and when we go and draw we can select the group and then select the check boxes which wires we want to draw
