Topic: qet file association

I had problems associating .qet files with the qelectrotech program in ubuntu 19.4. They opened as text files. I changed the assassation by standard methods, and all text files began to open in qelectroth. Previously, in later versions of ubuntu, until there was a snap this was not observed. Now, on a freshly installed ubuntu 20.4. Qet files also open as text files. How can this problem be solved? Version 0.8 is installed without problems from the program manager without adding to the sources.list

I have a standard version 20.04 Gnome 3.36.1
On previous OS 19.04 there was a Мate. But until February, everything worked. Then the icon of the qelektroteh from the tray disappeared (he set it). But Ubuntu also got a warning that version 19.04 no longer had support. I was waiting for 20.04.
And a little more trouble. I tried to assign an icon to the file from the /snap / qelectrotech folder. The icon is placed, but only on the file to which the icon was assigned.
Maybe this is the whole problem?
Maybe it was necessary to install not on the root of the system /snap, but in the user folder /snap folder?

You use edge channel for QET?

sudo snap install qelectrotech --edge

My laptop is upgrading from 19.10 to 20.04, not finished yet..

Hmm, snap QET don't work on my UHD monitor, maybe a snap problem with new KF5 libs or Qt package...?

QT_SCALE_FACTOR=0.8 qelectrotech

Before put PPA have you removed QET Snap ?

snap remove qelectrotech

Here I returned to my deb, and uninstal snapd package.

The problem is solved! Indeed, the installation of the deb package through Gdebi went without snap. And of course, everything began to work. It turns out that the installation through Ubuntu software, the manager pulls a snap. I think you should warn about this on the download page. And give a direct link to the deb package.
