@Simon:
For a new project you can also set this in the configuration under "New Project" > "Conductor" and remove the underscore by default or in project setting.

It would also be useful to have the "Apply properties to all conductors of this potential" flag in "new project" > "conductor".

No, but if you want you could use this patch and re compile QET.

Thanks. But...How?
I'm not a developer and know something about bash scripting only

When I open the editor of the conductor properties the function: "Apply properties to all conductors of this potential" is already checked. This is often very annoying because I normally need the change not to propagate and it happens that I forget to unselect it before click on OK, so I am forced to re-edit all the affected threads one by one.

Is there a way to make that function unchecked by default?

(how to mark this discussion [SOLVED!]  ???)

in your initial post click on "edit", then modify the topic title.

That's all? Too easy. nomicons/smile
Done. I will update you.

Please upgrade your version!

to upgrade is it sufficient to launch the "qelectrotech_0.80.r7109-2ubuntu2_amd64.deb" file, or should I uninstall first?

What did you do when crash occur ?

Most of the times it occurred on saving.
one time on editing an element's properties.
other times i don't remember.
Today i had about 4 or 5 crashes in 1 hour of job
yesterday in almost 2 hours not even a problem.

Several crashes today.
here the log file.

Hi guys.
Is it possible to make the cross references that appear next to the master / slave elements invisible?

Hi guys.
I can't find a way to remove a sheet that I added by mistake from the project. Can anyone explain to me how to do it?

Hi.
I have been working on 0.8 for the past 4 days. just a crash. But I didn't lose anything thanks to the autosave.
All in all not bad.
I have some other clarification to ask on which I will open dedicated topics.
I would say that's all.
Thank you guys.

under settings you can activate the automatic backup in case you forget to save regularly.

Done.

Thank you.

I was highlighting a wiree in order to edit its properties. I clicked several times on the wire without it being highlighted and suddenly the program closed. However, the usual ubuntu window appeared that warned me of the crash and asked me if I wanted to transmit information about the operations in progress in the system at the time of the crash to the developers. Of course I answered yes.
however today I worked a little on the project without any crash. We'll see in the next few days.

Thank scorpio, I took your advice and Installed V0.8 following ttps://launchpad.net/~scorpio/+archive/ … otech-dev.
But it crash suddenly during work so maybe it's not yet enough stable for normal use. I lost an hour of work because I forgot to save him while I was doing it. And while I'm focused on the project, I easily forget to save. so I'd like to go back (at least for now) to V0.7 that was pretty stable for me on Ubuntu 16.04.
therefore is it correct to proceed as follows?

1) Remove V0.8 by:

apt-get remove qelectrotech qelectrotech-data qelectrotech-examples qet-tb-generator

2) edit the file /etc/apt/preferences.d/40qelectrotech-devel replacing "Pin: version 0.80. *" With "Pin: version 0.70. *"

3) Install quelectroteh 0.7 by:

apt-get install qelectrotech qelectrotech-data qelectrotech-examples qet-tb-generator

Thanks but both of the first 2 links you posted seem to be about v 8.0 PPAs.
I would have preferred to install 7.0 which is the stable one.

Bye

Hello everyone.
I'm back
Having switched to ubuntu 20.04 (focal) with a clean install and after installing quelectrotech from snap I have the following problem.
From the application I can only access the home directory (and subdirs). trying to access the contents of any other unit I get the following response:
"could not read the content of mnt"
"error opening directory '/ mnt': permission denied.
In my system all drives are mounted in the / mnt folder which is owned by root but has set read permission to anyone.

QElectroTech V 0.7.0+git2.ccc43c816.snap

@scorpio810. Your suggestions are useful, thanks a lot.

Sorry for the long absence, due to personal problems (now solved nomicons/smile).
Now I'm back in operation and will try the suggested solutions.
Thank you all.

Hello to all.
It would be very useful, at least for me, to be able to carriage return in the text of an element label. For example, in the "comment" label you can write:
green = ON
red = OFF
instead of: green=ON - RED = OFF (on a single line).
Often, in fact, writing the text on a single line, the label becomes too long and interferes with the other elements or texts of the diagram. And it happens that by shortening the text too much, the label (useful to put in the diagram descriptions inked to an element) becomes incomprehensible. So is there a way to do it?

Thanks.
