i do love the reference/annotation, played with it.
some remarks:
You will have to make a lot of new elements with master/slave function.
to avoid it just make a field (without drawing to have a to/from relation same like the folio report is working now.
tried to change the folio, but even if i change the shape the reference is lost.

On old drawings it was done like your way with a mirror.
nowadays we use a small child drawing under the coil.

eplan uses 1 from reference, as it works with components, however simpler to have for each contact apart reference, i like symbols as they are readable international. NO/NC is language dependent.

now i use the folio reference as relais refs it works great, only the graphics needs to be changed (or even deleted, )
