Yes correct, autohotkey, I use it a lot for the most simple things. The script is almost too easy but in this case it just works wonderful 
. I didn't find any drawbacks yet saving every 60sec.

I'm using this version for the last 2hrs and it didn't crash yet, great :-)
But I also made a small AHK script which saves automatically every min, I'm not sure if it's related or not, will check it later.

I', running v0.4dev svn 2937
Ram shouldn't be a problem, this machine has 4GB ram available and run all kinds of "heavy" ram eating software without issues.
Let me try the latest build to see if it still occurs. I found 3524 which I'll try now and also a link "Get the latest development version of QElectroTech" which points to 20141203 but that seems to be empty?

Hi,
I'm a pretty new user of the program and still in the learning curve. One annoying thing is that the application crashes every time in the middle of my work. I already made a habit of saving alot but thought I would share the fault log.
It crashes always after an action, copy, paste, a move, an insertion of something, delete, never mind.
