| Summary | 0000348: Support multi-line strings in element information pane | ||||
| Description | Fields like label, comment of an element do not support multi-line inputs. However, one can insert XML linefeed characters like #&xa; #&xd; or even an actual line-feed in the .qet file. When you do that, QET will correctly display the associated text. When you selected the element, the multi-line text appears as single line in the element information pane, but a space is visible per line feed. Copy/pasting this text into an IDE will show the line feeds. You can move the item without problem. But if you edit any of the line inputs, the text isn't lost. If the software supports rendering these multiline texts, I think it should support editing them. It seems this trick is even used in some base library elements, I found traces in my imported elements :

| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Create an empty diagram and add an element with visible text. 2. Save & close. 3. Edit the .QET file with an IDE, insert a line feed or #&xd; inside the label, for example between two words. 4. Reopen the file, the text renders as two lines 5. Edit the text, the line-feed is instantly lost forever. | ||||
| Additional Information | Same behavior on 0.100 and 0.200.1 | ||||
