I've been maintaining QElectroTech since 2017. I care about it deeply, and that hasn't changed. But I have to be honest: I'm also very tired.

For many years Isince 36 yearks worked as a maintenance/emergency technician on rotating shifts — two mornings, two afternoons, two nights, weekends and public holidays included, and often alone. But even after the hardest shift, it ended and someone took over. Being the QET lead maintainer feels like a shift that never ends — PR reviews, CI, packages for every platform, the forum, decisions to make… and often with no one to hand over to.

So I'm going to slow down for a while:

- PR reviews may take longer;
- I won't always answer on the forum right away;
- if a nightly build breaks, it may stay broken for a few days.

I'm not leaving the project. I'm catching my breath so I can keep going for a long time.

If you'd like to help, every bit counts: answering questions on the forum, testing development builds, reviewing PRs, or looking into CI and packaging. Even a small, regular task takes a lot off my shoulders.

I am using QElectroTech 0.100.0 on Windows 11, built and running with Qt 5.15.18, x86_64.

I have two questions about native electrical conductors.

Uneven printed appearance

The conductors have the same Appearance settings: black, Size 0.50, secondary colour disabled. Nevertheless, some lines appear thicker or darker than others in PDF output and on paper.

Export to PDF produces vectors and looks better than printing through a PDF printer, which produces image objects. However, the unequal appearance is not completely eliminated.

The project was generated programmatically from an existing drawing, using native QET elements and conductors. Could overlapping conductor segments, symbol connection strokes or a rendering setting explain this? What would be the best way to distinguish a project problem from a PDF/printer rendering problem?

PE dash-dot spacing

The native dash-dot pattern is too dense at the required thin line width. I need a long dash, clear gap, dot, clear gap, repeated.

Can the dash and gap lengths be adjusted independently of conductor thickness while retaining a real electrical conductor that follows connected elements?

I found the older “Project Scale” discussion, but its Custom dash line suggestion appears to concern graphical shapes.

Is there an existing setting, newer fix or patch for either issue? If independent conductor dash spacing is not supported, should I submit a feature request?

I can provide a reduced .qet example, the exported vector PDF and photographs of the printed result.

I was using version 0.100 until last week, and I have been following the updates leading up to version 0.200.

Overall, the version is magnificent—it includes great new features—and I’d like to congratulate everyone on the work done.

However, as with any evolution, there are sometimes things that don’t quite work as expected.

When exporting the "list of wire names" (their tags) to a .CSV file, icons appear in the table, which prevents me from efficiently printing them.

This issue didn't exist in version 0.100; I hope you can help me fix it.

I would like to share a package that completes and updates the Italian localization of QElectroTech. It translates into Italian commands and interface text that were still displayed in French, with the aim of providing a more consistent Italian-language experience.

The package is attached as QElectroTech_Italiano_Completo.zip.

I am sharing this contribution for review by the developers and the community. Feedback, corrections, and advice on how to integrate these changes into the official Italian localization would be very welcome.

Dans la v100, un copier/coller collait au même endroit que l'objet copié. Au début c'était pas pratique en cas de perte de sélection suite au collage. Mais finalement c'était bien pratique car il suffisait de jouer avec les flèches en comptant les appuis successifs pour garder l’alignement et l'écart Horizontal et Vertical.

Or avec la v0.200.1-dev (voir plus bas) le collage se fait en fonction de la position de la souris. Ce qui gène les possibilités d'alignement H et Z

Y a t-il un moyen (je n'ai rien/mal vu dans les menus config) pour garder l'ancien système pour ceux qui le souhaite ?

In diesem Monat ist es mir mit Hilfe von Claude (und anderen) gelungen, die Makrodateien ema, ems und edz(!!!) zurückzuentwickeln. Diese kann ich nun in ELMT konvertieren. Beispiele findet ihr im Archiv. Dort sind Elemente verschiedener Hersteller und aus unterschiedlichen Zeiträumen zusammengestellt.
Ich lerne gerade Deutsch, daher bitte ich um Entschuldigung für mögliche Fehler in den Dateinamen oder den Texten der Beispiele.
Mein Konverter greift nicht auf Symbol-Datenbanken wie „special.slk“ oder „IEC_symbol.slk“ zurück (technisch wäre das zwar möglich, aber ich denke, das würde bereits gegen die Lizenz verstoßen). Daher fehlen an einigen Stellen einfache Symbole wie eine Schützspule oder Kontakte.
Bitte bewerten Sie das Ergebnis. Was halten Sie von der Urheberschaft und den Lizenzen der erhaltenen Elemente?  Dies ist das Ergebnis des Konverters, ich habe nichts nachbearbeitet.

Ich denke, eine mögliche Lösung für die Symbolbibliothek könnte eine Art Zwischenebene sein, die die nativen QET-Symbole verwendet, die in die richtige Richtung gedreht oder gespiegelt sind.
