On OSX you need to upgrade to python 3.9 for last 0.9-dev

I tried quickly on a fresh Big Sur 11.3 VM.

Get https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.9.4 … sx10.9.pkg
1 Install python 3.9
2 run Profile.command script

Install qet_tb_generator

pip3 install qet_tb_generator

Open industrial.qet example and launch plugin to see if it's work

Hello Scorpio810, I'm pretty sure there is more to it than just changing the path.

It looks like more is going on in the background.
After the last update yesterday of Big Sur qet_TB_generator is not even starting anymore by direct activating.

As of big sur things changed in safety policies. It looks like As if the "hidden" library is scanned with each update and any irregularities returned to default.

It also looks like acces to the library folder is more limited the previous versions of mac os.

Before putting any changes in place it's perhaps more easy to test the new MAC os behavior a bit more in detail.

If I can help there please don't hesitate to contact me.

I can even give you acces to my macbook by means of teamviewer so you can have a look yourself if that is helpfull.

Small update

I got QET and get_tb_generate to work on a macbook pro running Mac OS Catalina v10.15.7 within 10 minutes.

And I did notice the file locations (library) used for python is different.
For Catalina they are in the root library location in Big Sur they are in the user library.
That probably means more changes in the background which I'm not familiar with.

I'm pretty sure at this point that Big Sur is creating all the issues.
This morning I had an update from version 11.2.2 to 11.2.3 and now I cannot even start qet_tb_generator any more.

I will get QET installed on another macbook pro with catalina to give it a shot before wasting any more of your time !

QET need to be cloed when your run in manualhy qet_tb_generator.
You could try it with industrial.qet example provided in bundle.

I had a look at some youtube tutorials (posted 4 years ago) but they reload collections
Which I tried, but nothing showed up.

The shell screen when I generate the terminal strip is in the attachment.
Does it actually generate the terminalstrip ?

with manual start I mean that I double click the program in the finder.

when I start manually an manual give in the project it does give me the X1 with the right amount of terminals.

The button is blank until I click it.

Where would I be looking for the generated terminal strip ?

in manual the plugin will work just as well, just have QET closed and go with dialog find and chose the QET project file to generate terminalblocks.
