searching filter need a little time, have you tried with latest 0.8-dev version?

This should be fixed by commit 5f908fc (2021-02-21). The collection search now starts only once you have typed at least 3 letters. Searching on 1 or 2 letters matched almost every element, which is what froze the window. It has been in every release since QElectroTech 0.8.0.
